Join Next Up and our Co-Governance Collective for our September Portland City Council Watch Party! 🌟 You all showed OUT for our first two watch parties this summer—and we had such a good time that we're bringing it back (bigger and better) for September! 🌞 Including a larger space to fit everyone! This will be an accessible space for young people with all levels of knowledge and experience with local government to learn directly from our co-governance team that has been following the council committees and meetings for almost a year! Our team will be there to provide context, answer questions, and lead community discussions in real time during the meeting. 📺 There'll be: free dinner & snacks (yum!), a pre-meeting City Council 101 presentation, Tea with Teal 🫖 (aka recapping the council drama), informational zines to learn more about councilors and council priorities, and more!
