Sunrise PDX: Lake Oswego Citation Trial

In May, Sunrise PDX members scouted multiple ICE officer vehicles staying at hotels in Lake Oswego. **Sunrisers peacefully protesting ICE’s presence at the Residence Inn by Marriott Lake Oswego were served noise citations by LOPD**, amounting to nearly $8,000 in total fines. 6 Sunrise PDX members opted to challenge their citations, and they need your support as they oppose this egregious violation of their first amendment rights. **Join Sunrise PDX on August 19th outside Lake Oswego City Hall** as we publicly pressure LO Mayor Joe Buck and other elected officials to denounce ICE presence in Lake Oswego. We will rally outside of the courthouse before the trial to make it clear that ICE is not welcome in Lake Oswego, and our right to peacefully protest will not be infringed by government overreach. **Other ways you can help us fight back:** 1.
