Democracy Rocks Painting Parties

ROCK TEXAS, ROCK THE VOTE! Join Indivisible Frisco for a fun, creative community event celebrating civic engagement and the power of democracy. This is a come-and-go event with multiple opportunities to participate. Democracy Rocks Texas is a creative public art campaign that transforms ordinary rocks into unexpected conversation starters about democracy, constitutional rights, civic participation, and the importance of voting. We supply everything including rocks, paint pens, and message ideas. Feel free to bring smooth rocks (fist size or larger are best) or pieces of flagstone if you have them. Our plan is to create dozens of rocks to "plant" in high-visibility pedestrian areas before the midterm elections. Each rock is designed to spark curiosity, start conversations, and encourage people to reflect on what's at stake for our democracy. At a time when people are inundated with political messaging, Democracy Rocks Texas offers a fresh way to reach people where they already are — on walking trails, in outdoor shopping centers, and at neighborhood gathering places.
