About this event
Our staff at ECRC, under the direction of District Three of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), is gathering input from rural communities in Northwest Florida. By engaging with rural local governments and bringing these communities together for discussion and collaboration, we are developing a document that outlines their transportation needs. The Rural Regional Transportation Plan (RRTP) serves as a blueprint for maintaining and enhancing the regional rural transportation system over a 20-year planning horizon. It addresses roadway, bicycle/pedestrian, freight, and other modes of transportation in rural areas. Additionally, the plan prioritizes short- and long-range projects for potential inclusion in the FDOT Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). Agendas are available at ecrc.org/RRTP.
