Knock doors with Iris Bender for NC House

Join us as we head out into the neighborhood to speak with voters about the November election. No experience necessary, and training is provided! After you've signed up to canvass, register for an online training on canvassing with MiniVAN. Click [here to sign up](https://www.mobilize.us/ncdems/event/766304/?utm_source=rsvpemail) or [here to watch a recorded training](https://youtu.be/C4mAUovRFgs). If you have never canvassed before, we try to pair you with someone who has experience, but you can also just bring a friend if you prefer. You will need a smartphone for the MiniVAN app which incorporates GPS to help find homes, shows your script, and lets you record responses so we have them in our database. While canvassing, you will have individual doorhanger bags of candidate information to leave with voters or at their doors, a handful of voter registration forms, and contact information on our area's current representatives. Most of our lists will require you to drive. Some canvassing lists will be clustered fairly close together while others may require driving from house to house. Canvassing is statistically the single best way to turn an Unaffiliated voter into a voter for Democratic candidates, so we hope you join us.
